India enter a test series in New Zealand for the first time brimming with confidence and as clear favourites. They convincingly won the one day series, and the batting will only be further strengthened as Test cricket specialists VVS Laxman and Rahul Dravid join the team. The 1st Test is at Hamilton, where Rahul Dravid averages over100.
History is not too motivating for India as the Indian batting was really abysmal on the last series. This time not only does the batsmen look in better shape, but the Kiwi wickets too don’t look as menacing. At most India will need to be careful with the new ball. If they can get off to a good start, then I don’t see New Zealand being able to pose much of a challenge. However this is just a predictions, and cricket is a funny game. We will know what will happen soon enough - live cricket action is just a few hours away.
